Young Foxes Hockey is a developmental
ice hockey program open to boys and girls
ages 5 – 14. Our program focuses on skill
development in skating, hockey strategies,
and the rules of the game. YFH practices
once a week and plays games during the
season with other local developmental
teams.
Young Foxes Hockey was created in the
summer of 1990. It is comprised of players
in eighth grade and younger who are
interested in learning to skate and play
hockey. Prior skating or hockey experience
is not required. Players do not have to
reside within the Fox Chapel Area School
District to participate in our program. Young
Foxes Hockey is registered with the league
through the Fox Chapel Hockey Club but is
a separate entity.
Our season operates mid-September
through mid-March. We also offer a 6 week
summer camp starting in July. Our home
ice is Blade Runners Harmer. Players are
separated into four groups based on age
as follows:

Home Ice: Sundays 4:30-5:20
Home Ice: Sundays 5:20-6:10

commitments.

- Mite Red (Age 5 - 8)
